Squealling LP, is it on its way out?
Turned the key on the other day, about 35-40* outside and the lift pump liked to make a noise I never heard before from it. Started squealling and squalloring so much I thought a cat got caught in the fan belt. Turned the key off and back on again and it still sounded the same. Pressure was okay, 14 psi, just never heard that noise before. Haven't been able to duplicate the noise (even tried throwing the neighbors cat in the fan belt but they pitched a hissy fit).
Anyone else have this happen? Is this a sign of impending doom for the LP?
(by the way, the short anwer to "Is the LP on it's way out" is: "Yes, its in a Dodge fuel system
)

with the cold weather,and the grid heaters cycling, the lift pump will make these sound due to extreme low voltage going to it. those grid heater draw a lot of voltage away from the lift pump. sometimes mine wont even cyccle when temps are around 10 degrees....once grid heaters stop cycling pressure is back up. the grid heaters themselves will squeel sometimes from heating up....sounds normal to me....those in hotter climates tend to disagree my grid heaters cycle about 6 months out of the year so im used to all those strange noises.
