how big

just how big is the exhaust on the new 600 i looked under one and it look like 4 inch if so will i loose power by puttin a 5 inch on it or gain fixin to get mine next week 04 single cab 3500 six speed white slt

A diesel requires no back pressure. So the bigger diameter and shorter the run, the better.

There have been a number of posts on this issue. I'd do a search if your interested and especially look for a post by Ted Jannetty, of Jannety Racing. He tested this issue and with the larger exhaust it doesn't pay performance dividends until you get around 500hp, I believe. On the new trucks defueling starts and performance drops off. Check it out.
