In my post #42 I re-arranged my photos in "Photobucket" and I noticed my links to the pics are broken. I wanted to edit my post to re-link them but I'm not able to. Who do I send a message to re-link them?

Unfortunately if you deleted/moved the photos from the album then links are permanently lost. If you can't edit your original post to input the new links either post them again here or contact a mod. They MIGHT be able to let you edit your OP.

Here is my cheaper version of a rammed air part two. I just re-did my post because I couldn't reload my pics.

The beer helped out (it was 95 degrees in my garage while outside my garage it was 106 degrees) On the 3" to 4" tube I just pressed it to that shape w/ my hands. The elbow is a 3" dia.

So, what do you all think? I was going to use this: http://www.lowes.com/pd_36429-85334-...RL=&facetInfo= But the dia. (I think it was 6" or more) was way too large. I was really looking for a 3" dia. w/ a square opening up front like the one pictured.

I am not sure the scoop is needed, but it is ghetto-fabulous!

You have it mounted directly below that air dam that is designed to force air down and AWAY from the truck. Not sure how much "Forced" air you are getting.

I would love to see that area in a wind tunnel to see what is really happening to the air! I would imagine it is very turbulent and not nearly as affective as you are thinking.
Look where the factory air intake is. Upper part of the grill where the air is forced in. Now if you could make that opening bigger!!!

I would love to make it as large as the Banks ram air is. Just like this one: http://www.xtremediesel.com/sandbfil...er75-5049.aspx I use to have one on my 2007.5 w/ the 6.7L that I traded in for my now current truck. I just can't fabricate a rectangular opening like I'm wanting to. I finally had to remove my scoop cause when parking up to higher curbs it would get crushed and pushed back. But the plumbing is still their.

I thought that might be the case when looking a your photos. But you don't know until you try it.

An idea for consideration, how about cutting an opening or two in the air dam? Use a hole saw or whatever for the shape you need. Install a lightweight screen if you want or leave open. The air dam can always be replaced.

This makes more sense to me. Put the opening in direct air instead of turbulent air.

Check out my post #42 and click on the link. I was wanting to do something like that in my air dam before I cut that oval hole in the dam, I was thinking of air going into a larger opening being rammed into a smaller hole. Of course that banks air ram worked great when my truck was a 4x4 (the one I traded in) now this being a 2x4 it's lower to the ground.

Does anyone know how to direct air to the air box from behind the grill? Instead of cutting a hole in the air dam. Kinda like the new Ram's active air system.

There isn't a lot of room behind the grill on our truck, and most of that air is pretty hot.
