High pressure steering line vibration fix
Okay. Bought my truck a week ago. The only thing wrong with it was it had the high pressure line harmonic inballance that caused a loud hum and a vibration in the steering wheel, accelerator pedel and stick. It was driving me crazy as i drive alot for work. I know Dodge has a revised line out but i didnt want to spend the money or have the time to install it myself.
So the research i found told me that the only differance is an added weight on the line itself.
So i thought, how can i add my own weight?!
Ended up buying a box of large washers. I used 5/8 " galvsnized washers. The inner opening was the same size as the outter diameter of the hose. 3/4 ".
I cut out aa section of every washer (15 total).
Then i slid each on and water proof taped the heck out of the whole thing.
The noise is gone and its smooth sailing now!!
Not bad for ten minutes of work.
Just thought some others on here might find this helpfull.
