After reading the thread at the top of this forum regarding a "shorted wire" I'd like opinions are if the pink/yellow sensor wire from the a/c compressor could be causing my issues.

My truck will occasionally have a sudden, but momentary, complete loss of power. It seems to occur only after the truck is at full operating temperature. We've suspected that when a sensor calls for extra cooling the signal somehow causes the problem. We know the intercooler, transmission cooler, and engine temp can call for the signal. What I hadn't considered was the a/c system. Does the a/c system affect the fan/cooling system?

I've already covered the suspect wires with some plastic loom, so it's protected from the high pressure a/c line. That's a tough area to get into and I couldn't really tell if the insulation had been compromised. If the symptoms reoccur then I'll know I didn't fix anything, but if they don't I just may have found the cure. I'd just like an experienced opinion on whether I may have found and corrected the problem. Love the truck, just wish I was a little more knowlegeable about it.

Yes, there was an issue with your year model with the wires chaffing against the compressor housing. One of the wires supplied power to the A/C transducer and the crankshaft sensor.
