Here's a weird one
The cold starting has focused most of my attention lately but this one is really baffling me. Noticed a weird noise the other day when sitting at a stop light with my foot on the brake. When I release the brake the noise goes away.
Today I found out the noise comes on when the wipers are in motion, meaning they are in the sweeping motion. Once they go into place they stop, once they start this noise comes back. If the truck is in neutral or park the noise doesn't happen, only when the brake pedal is pushed. WEIRD.
Also happens if you put the fan on while the pedal is pushed.
K so ya I know there is a problem some place with a ground, I assume. Just wondering if anyone knows where to start looking? Maybe this electrical problem has something to do with the cold cstarting, could be on to something. just a guess.
Thanks
Greg

alot of grounds are under the dash. you'll notice that the dash is uncoated steel. so yep, its rusting as it sits(how nice on a $30K+ truck)
start checking there. it may not be brake related(probably isnt) but more likely brake light switch. and the associated grounds
