HELP! Transmission problems. Starting in 3rd, and TC issue

Truck - 03 dually, standard output. only mod is a TC lockup switch.

Ok so the tranny worked fine but it was due for a flush and filter. So i got a new filter and atf-4 and did the flush. For 3 days after the flush the trans worked perfect.

Last night the truck would not shift out of 1st gear. The revs would hang at 2500rpm or higher for several seconds, sometimes almost 10 seconds! Then shift and the rest were all good.

This morning I leave for work and its taking off in 3rd gear. I am sure its third because I can drop it into (2) on the shifter and it will take off easier.

Also now my converter locks in overdrive about 5mph later then normal. My TC switch still locks it when needed tho.

I have to take a 500 mile drive tomorrow so this has to be fixed today. What do I need DTR?

Thanks in advance.

The evil trans flush strikes again.

Quite likely the governor pressure solenoid and/or transducer has gone tango uniform due to the crud knocked loose by the flush.

Here are the OEM parts:

Now, if you want a better lookin upgrade:

Go here http://www.transmissioncenter.net/dodge.htm and search the page for #REC.

Or here for another option http://www.suncoastconverters.com/do..._products.html

Do you think I will need to replace the transducer too?

Which is better, the Suncoast one or the transmission center?

Can't tell you which one is the better cuz they are both relatively new. Just to add in to the mix, DTT also offers and upgraded solenoid.

Its a good idea to replace the transducer as well. Since they are pressure fed it could be its fault as well as the solenoid.
