i have a 06 with auto 48re and the tail housing cracked and needs replaced. where can i get one? does anyone have a good place to purchase?

May get lucky and find one in a junk yard, your truck is so new that it may be hard to find. Check car-part.com . That is a network of junk yards all listed online and all ove the nation. If you buy it from a junk yard I doubt that they will just sell you the tail housing. May have to go to the dealer to get just the tail shaft housing. How did you break it?

 

ujoint came apart at tail of trans and must have been under a lot of pressure? my guess was going about 20mph when happened.
