help with code p0191
i need some help i started my truck last night for the first time in several days and noticed the check engine light on so i pulled the codes and got p0191 after i got to work and this afternoon when i started it it stumbled a little before it came up to idle speed. when i let the truck sit and idle for a little bit you can see a little black smoke coming from the exhaust. i can really use some advice i am getting ready to go on vacation the 9 of august. thanks
update there is a valve behind the sensor and if you pull the line loose on the top of it there is fuel that seeps out of it which is the injector return line so how can i tell if my pressure valve is bad.
P0191
my 06 ( which I have had for week) just did the same thing. I erased the code and it hasn't come back on???
I need to get an emissions this week I wonder if it will be an issue?

P0191 is the code for Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Performance. If the RP sensor is working correctly that engine should sound like the old 24v if you unplug it and start the engine. It will throw more codes by doing this so you need to have a way to clear them. Try checking your FCA on the back of the CP3. Remove it and shake it around....it should rattle like a PCV valve on a gasser.

The Fuel Control Actuator is the little gizmo that's bolted on the back of the CP3. The bolts are of the Torx design, not sure of the size, and can be a real bugger to get loose.
