Unhappy Help!!!

well im coming to the place where i always get the help i need. i have an 03 ctd and im having some issues. last night i went to go out to dinner and when i started the truck it was louder then i have ever heard it. i figured it was bad fuel and i had less that a quarter tank so i went and filled it and it quieted down. i thought that was the end of it but when i give it throttle it occassionaly bogs out and then takes off like a bat outta hell. now the check engine light is on and the noise is gone but it stalled on me twice this mornin on my way to the lumber yard. so any help would b greatly appreciated. i have a cpl days to figure it out being that its goin to the body shop.....so thanks again guys

my truck had the same symptoms as yours did and it turned out to be the lift pump or as the dealer would call it the "fuel pump module"

If your under 100k, should be good. If not, FASS or AirDog will do you good

i would recomend going aftermarket beacuse the dealer is just going to put in a in-tank pump which you dont want if you plan on doing performance mods. but if you are planning on leaving it stock then i would just have the dealer put the in-tank pump in it and be done with it. it will be much easier to do a aftermarket now beause you can just hook up the the existing line and not have to worry about the pick-up tube you would need to put in if you had the intank pump installed. if you go after market i would reccomend the pureflow technologies Raptor Rp100 or RP 150. its by far the easyest to install. but if your under warrenty have them put the pump in and tell them you want you old one back so if you decided to go aftermarket then you can much easyer.

When you say it stalled, do you mean that it just went back to idle or did it try to die? If it just went to idle while you were on the throttle, it is going to be the throttle position sensor. I just did the same thing on a 03 and it fixed all the problems. They are the same sensors as are on the 2nd gen 24V and tend to give quite a few problems. Hope that this helps.
