mine are all leaky on the passenger side, not driver side, should I still tighten them? Are these plugs for draining or are they like relief plugs being that they above the freeze plugs

I took mine in for the oil and the pink/white creepy crust at ~ 15k or so (CRS may have changed that number a bit). Got it back clean and the dealer said it was leaky coolant plugs (2) and leaky valve cover gasket.

Now, it is about time to wash off the oil again, there is probably enough to cover the tips of two, or maybe three fingers. I've got about 86k miles on it now.

When I was still working at the dealer, I remember a TSB on leaking frost plugs. Every new Diesel truck that came in needed to be "tested." Some of you will not want to hear this, but here it goes. To perform the test the truck needed to be parked overnight, and the engine, (coolant), temp needed to be above 60*. (I think it was 60*) Then we would start the truck and immediatly hold the pedal to the floor for 3 minutes! If the frost plugs started to leak, or if they were blown completely out of the block(happened a couple of times) we had to replace them. These were the instructions directly from Dodge. So if you have a problem with leaky frost plugs, take the truck in as soon as you can because it should be covered under warranty.

my leaks are coming from the threaded pipe bolts above the freeze plugs, should I just clean tham off and tighten them down as tight as I can or do they have a certain torque? And the leaky oil, will they replace that gasket on warranty, or will they charge a hundred bucks for it?

Mine is also seeping at the rocker cover box. Took it in for warranty, told them where it was seeping(easy to visually see), but they put dye in it. Took it back one week later, "oh ya your right it is leaking from where you said it was,we will have to order the gaskets and will call when they come in." Back i go for the third trip.

took mine tonight to new dealer service dept. they said it is "normal and nothing to be concerned about, if they replace it, it will look the same in about 10k miles"??? Maybe I'm weird, but a gasket sweating or leaking sounds to be failing, right?

Its not "ok" that it is leaking.
Mine leaks, its not ok I just can't/won't/dont care enough to take mine back to the dealership.

They are required to replace the or remedy per your vehicles warranty legally.
