Sounds like engine overspeed due to clutch disengagement. Do the rpms continue to climb after clutch is disengaged or does it just do it momentarally. I've noticed on mine, if I load it up and quick shift it will rev up slightly and then drop back down when I depress the clutch to shift.

Timing (yer feet ) Let off the go pedal just a fraction before disengaging the clutch. You can jam it into the next gear alot easier and faster this way. If I don't do this I shift it like a dork. Then I get in my wife's car and got to relearn again. This was discussed earlier and something to do with the HPCR and emissions.
