Hard start

A friend of mine has a 2007 Dodge ram 3500 6spd, 5.9l. He is having problems getting it to start when engine is at operating temps. What would be the first thing to check. The truck sounds normal and runs normal when it starts up.

Sounds like it's time for injectors. That's generally a tale tell sign.

Ditto that. Measure injector return flow to confirm.

Is it turning over at the proper speed? Older big trucks used to have this problem with the starter getting heat soaked and not turning over fast enough to fire usually indicating the starter was getting bad.
