Good Dealership

I just wanted to comment on a dealership here in NE Oklahoma. I won't name names, since I've seen that as a no-no, but we had a truck recently, that you'd be going down the road, and it would just go to an idle. I can tell you that a '03 3500 quad cab dually will go 28 mph at an idle in 6th gear. I know this because I've driven it quite a few miles like that. You never knew when it was going to do it, and when it happened, you'd get the CEL, Water In Fuel light, and practically every code you can imagine. We had several mechanics look at it, to no avail. Finally got fed up, and took it to the dealership in a nearby town we had heard good things from. Took a few days for them to diagnose it (It had the habit of clearing it's own codes, and running good whenever someone would work on it), and finally, they decided the computer was fried. So they ordered the computer for it, and we didn't hear anything for a few days. So we had to take a backhoe near this same town on a friday afternoon, to be there on saturday (We needed 2 backhoes there on saturday, and since one of the trucks were down, I didn't want to get up at 5:00 am to move both of them there early enough). So anyway, we went by the dealership, and didn't see the truck there. Walked in, and talked to the Service Man, and he honestly told us, the computer didn't fix it, so they investigated more, and found some burnt wiring around the front of the motor. The repaired that, put the old computer back in, and the mechanics had took turns all day driving it, to make sure it didn't mess up again. Well, we went and dropped the backhoe off, and came back about 30 minutes later, to find out that it was now fixed.

The point of this story is, they did fix the truck, and they were completly honest about it. They could have just said "it's the computer", charged us $2,700.00, and we would have been satisfied that the computer was the problem. But instead, they fixed the wiring, installed the old computer back in, and just charged $320.00. And even took their time, and practically drove the truck all day, to make sure it wasn't going to mess up again. This will definantly be the dealership we use from here on out.

I bought mine in texas , but had to make a trip also to a dealer in NE OKlahoma for a cel light that was basically just a flash and I loved the service they gave me. I had some aftermarket stuff done they never said a word and were really nice to me.
