Give me your opinion of Rhino Liner.....
.....for the rocker panels of my truck. I wanted to do Line-X but the local dealer won't spray the side, only inside the bed. Is there a reason I should not go with Rhino Liner? I don't think there are any other options in my area. Thanks!
That's strange! The dealer here has no problem spraying the rocker panels. I think it was around $250. I was considering it and still may. I only know of Line-X because thats all I have used but Rhino is good too from what I have heard.
When the time comes to do my rockers I'm going to do Line-X. I've got a Rhino in the bed and it's a good liner that holds up to a lot if it's prepped and sprayed properly. The only reason I'm not going with Rhino is the texture and the fading. Line-X, or like JD said Reflex, is a little more pleasing to the eye.
My local dealer mostly does commercial work and dealership work. Says he doesn't do many private party type projects or special work.
Not many around here. Closest was like 30 miles from me. Makes it difficult to make arrangements. The Rhino dealer is just down the street from my office.
rhino is too soft....find a dealer that uses the line-x type mix but doesnt have to pay extra to have the line-x name....
I have had bad luck on 4 trucks with rhino, have had line x in one and line x type in 4 more...rhino sucks because it gets so soft in the heat and tears etc...

So far I've been pretty satisfied with Rhino. I had it on my Dakota previously, and now on my Ram. It does get dings in it because it is a little softer, but that also provides a cushion to help prevent bending the metal underneath when something is tossed on. Also, Rhino is very good about fixing the dings. Haven't used Line-X, so can't say how it compares.
ive never had good luck with rhino lining, but go w/ whatever you want...just know i will be here to tell you, "i told you so"
and you know i will do it too!

A buddy of mine has Rhino in the bed of his truck, and it faded badly. I've heard the newer stuff is supposed to be better. Anyhow, he did his lower rockers later, but used Speedliner this time, and it looks great.
I also have speedliner in my truck bed. It hasn't faded much considering it's been in the desert sun for almost 5 years, but I have managed to scrape a bit off here and there.
The place where I had it done stands behind their work, and if it ever needs touched up they do it for free.
To me, making sure the place you choose does a good job in prep/application, and stands behind the work is at least as important as the brand of product...

I had rhino before and I did peel it when I slid a skid steer bucket across it. That didn't bother me to bad but it faded terrible. I tried permatec this time. Someone told me it was the same as rhino but with uv protection. Could be a good sales job I dunno. So I'll wait and see.
Go find another Line-X dealer! That one sounds like a douch! I will allways go with Line-X! Never had a proplem and it looked great! All the Rhino ones I've seen looked like crap and the pealed and bubble up! Good luck man!
