get it ready to go to work

on my "new to me" 03 with the 6 speed (66000 miles)---how often should or need you cahnge the transmission lube? whats the best lub to use for heavy towing. Anything else i might want to think about doing before i put this truck to work? transfer case differentials ect.
Everything sounds and feels good
