i was looking at a new truck just the other day ( 600 with a 6-speed) and it looked like to me that the gear train that drives the pump and all that was on the back of the engine! maybe it was just my eyes? anybody know for sure if it is on the front like previous cummins, or is it on the back for all of the common rail injected trucks?

 

what you saw was the med. range truck engine , all the D.C. engine will have a front gear train.
