I have had my 05 for about 5 months now. I shifted through all of the gears the other day to do a tranny fluid check like the book says. I noticed that the gear indicator on the dash does not change to the 2 or 1 when I move the shifter all the way down. Is this normal? I would think if I shifted down to 1st gear the 1 would light up. sometimes when I shift into park the light doesn't go all the way to the P and when I open the door the horn starts its annoying safety honk.

 

You ever frind out why it was doing that?
Mine's doing the same thing..... I can shift the transmission into first, but the indicator light on the dash stays on 2.....???

Anyone else have this happen??

 

There's a cable adjustment on the steering column.
