This company was recommended to me for my trans replacement so I checked them out a little and after some checking I figured I needed more info on them. So post up with any hands on experience please.

He's a member here who has had Garmons do a crap load of work for him. His last mishap was when he completely blew the block apart on his '05. They did the teardown of it.....extremely ugly. Other than that....I believe he is exclusive to Garmons.
Garmon's Diesel is without question one of the top diesel shops in the country, and their transmissions are no exception. Call Jeff and he'll sell you exactly what you need. No more, no less.

Jeff worked on my 93 probably 17-18 years ago. About 4 years ago I watched him rebuild an overdrive unit at the track using junkyard parts and a floor jack and a 12 ton trailer for a press. When he got done the truck ran several more passes down the track, then the owner drove it over 1000 miles to get home.

Yes I been testing Garmons tranny's for a long while now.
I've been through more motors than tranny's by far.. lol
My 05 made 860 ish HP at the tires and his tranny's held it with no problem.
I did twist an Opie billet shaft and broke a couple other billet inputs over the years, but my driving / racing style with my manual "TC Lock Up" switch is a wee bit harder on things than most do.. LOL
But the shafts breaking is not a builder issue, it's a driver / power issue. It happens to them all.
My 07 I have now is around 750 HP and has a full billet comp unit in it with one of Garmon brand new triple disk converters in it. I've been beating on it for a few weeks now, and all smiles so far..
If you need any info or would like me to have him all you, just send me a PM.
My names David and I'll be glad to help you anyway I can.

Here is a couple vids of my 07 putting his tranny to work..

When the wife and I picked up my truck Jeff gave us a personal tour of his facilites when he was just starting the in house tranny work. Heck even my wife was impressed. You won't be disappointed.
(Same opinion as quoted from ARbowhunter) Jeff Garmon is one of the best guys in the industry I have ever dealt with. He did my tranny after I went through 2 of those "purple transmissions" and it's been flawless ever since.

So Goerend triple disc, billet input and flexplate, master rebuild, and valve body installed with over 1k miles on it and loving it. Shifts are solid and timely and it locks nicely. I do kinda wish I went with a slightly more aggressive valve body. Over all I am liking it.
My experience was great. Jeff answered the phone while working in the shop. Took the time to answer all of my questions. Tell me how he sets stuff up. Basically complete the sale. I called him 3 seperate times before ordering. He took 1 week for the build. Shipping took less than 5 days to the west coast.
Followed the install guide to the T. The stage 2 is what I got. It has performed flawless for the last 1500 miles I have put on it. 900 of it with 10k in tow.
One thing no one mentioned is that the low stall speed of the triple disc loads the motor much lower rpms, resulting in smoke if I get on it at high throttle and low rpm. No amount of adjusting the smarty Jr with timing has eliminated it. But I can drive around it. So I just turned up the power and love the Hell out of it.
It will transform your "car" with a bed to a real truck with an attitude of make my day. Load me up and let's go. Best hardest decision on the truck I have ever made.
