Gallons left when light comes on

Good Morning Everyone
I would like to know if anyone out there know how many gallons of fuel are left when the low fuel light comes on. This is for a 06 sb with a 34 gal tank.
Thanks for you help

Typically you can still go a long way. On the other hand I kicked the light last weekend right before I pulled off to top the tank. The needle was 1/4 way above the little red line and the truck took 33.5 gallons. I have a long box. When I installed the vent tube I ran the tank down another 50 miles after the overhead said zero and still had a little fuel left in the tank when I dropped it.

I had to run mine a long way on empty and it took 39 gallons to fill up. There must be about 4 gallons left when the needle is pegged.

Just did that yesterday. I have an 06 and at about 30 miles left on the overhead the little "gas pump" light came on with the ding! Then the overhead reads 'low-fuel'. Drove another approx 20 miles before I could get to the station. Then put in 33.5 gallons! And no I don't have the vent-kit mod. The dash gauge needle was on the E peg. So at least on mine the overhead was pretty **** close.

Mine has come on twice. One on the highway and once in town. Filled up both times within 15 miles. Both times took 30 gallons. Must have 4-5 gallons left on mine. Do not like running that low, 1/4 tank the usual for me ( I like to exercise, but not that way).

I was sitting at the fueling station Friday waiting for the turbo to cool down so I could fill up. The fuel light came on just before I shut down to fill. The truck held just shy of 30 gallons. I have an 05 short bed quad cab with 34 gallon tank.

I always fill up when my gas guage is almost touching the peg or when the overhead reads zero. I have yet to put in over 30 gallons on a fill-up. So about 4 gallons for my truck.

When I did the tank mod I drove 50 miles past the needle burried on E and 0 DTE on the display. Dropped the tank and still had 2.5 - 3 gallons in it.

Hmmm, you could always fill up just as soon as the light comes on, the subtract the number of gallons it took to fill up from 34.

My tank can take 24 gallons after the fuel light comes on. I'll leave the math to the mathematicians.
