g65 shifter came unhooked?

g65 shifter came unhooked?

hey guys, the other day i came down to a stop at a sign, and when i went to throw it in gear the shifter just floped around like it was unhooked. i havent gotton into it yet, so just wondering if anybody here knows of any problems like this. i searched the forums a little but came up with nill.

If its like the top of the NV4500, there are bolts that hold it to the top of the trans, if they are loose the end of the shifter will not ingauge with the bracket on the slides.

There are 2 bolts that hold the shifter to the shift tower. It's not a big deal. I put a g56 in my 2001 and the shifter did this all the time. The one in my 2006, however, hasn't done it once. Strange. It's the same transmission even.
