G56 Tranny

G56 Tranny

just got my truck this weekend with the new tranny it is sweet , it was well worth the wait , ive driven both tranmissions and mine is smoother and quit , had a chance to go out and pull my jeep around 8000lbs didnt even fase it , it performed the same with no load , im really happy with it and will keep you up dated on how it treats me , altough im already having some engine troubles ,(serpetine belt )

What trouble with the belt? If it's the famous chirp, it's not a problem. If it's something else, disregard this.

What's going on with the belt? Several of us on here and TDR have had our belts shred for now apparent reason with only a few thousand miles? Is this what your's is doing? Please fill us in, and, how IS that new G56?

talked to the dealer today said the belt failed because of a bad idler assembly they ordered new assembly and belt will keep you posted on out come , the G56 rips i couldnt be happier , i think that they will work out just fine ifnot better than nv5600

that is very good to hear... the 5600 is a great trans and if the g56 works out to be a good trans, then great... i just hope it holds up in the future when more have them with more miles on them...
