G56 / metal shavings on drain plug

[B
I changed my G56 atf +4 fluid last night at 55,000 miles and the drain plug looked like it had an excessive amount of metal shavings. Transmission has been working fine though, so hopefully not an issue. Enclosed is a picture.

Cant find the picture. If you are talking about some powdered metal on the magnet, that's normal. Big chunks or long strips, eeek. Chunks can be pieces of gear teeth and strips can be ball bearing ball separators. Bronze is synchro material and is OK.

every manual magnetic drain plug i have ever seen needed to be wiped down of the metal paste. The lube also has a metalic sheen to it.

I have not seen my G56 plug yet but thats what I would expect.

The magnet from my NV5600 had quite a bit of metal mud on it, which I'm told is normal...

I have seen metal stuff on the magnet of my autos but never seen a magnet like that. just the ones on the end of the drain plug. that does not look bad to me.

Was that your first fluid change and if so why did you wait so long?

he waited that long cuz if you lokk at the manual it says 60k which is stupid and as far as brass in the fluid it is not good in large amounts cuz my 2nd g56 which has 4k on it has some in it and is going out again
