G56 chatter?

Noticed today with truck at idle with clutch ingaged not in gear, tranny was making a chatter type noise. Disengaged clutch and noise would go away. When driving, a noticeable chatter can be heard and felt in shifter in 5th gear and sometimes in 4th. Truck has just over 3K now and was purchased before the 6spd hold. Has anyone else had this? Is it normal, still wearing in or does it sound like it could be short some fluid?

Check the level. Won't know until you look.

Take it to the dealer and let him look at it.

I agree. Take it in before you regret it.

My truck has the chatter in 5th gear too. I took it to the dealer and they said this was normal (I think they get paid to say that). I had them check the fluid level and they said it was full and clean. So if anything breaks it's their problem.

Mine has a chatter in sixth gear. It sounds like water flowing almost. I dont worry about it too much. I checked the fluid level and it had plenty. It ran out and down my arm from the fill plug. I just drive it and thank god I have the 7/70 powertrain warranty.
