if this correct that the ram have only full power on 4 wd modus?

a guy here in the test center (dyno test and more) say this.

the tq if to high for the rear axle?

i think that is not correct.

Dodge posted numbers are flywheel, do a search for stock dyno, rear wheels...should be around 525-550 rear wheel torque for an 06 with 610 rating which equates to around 10-15% loss which is average for drive train. So I'd say he's wrong.

 

Are you saying you have to be in 4 wheel drive to get all of the power of your truck? The answer is no.

You can put whatever power your motor can to the rear axle that your transmission can take. You don't have to use 4 wheel drive.

Stock my truck is rated at 325hp and 600 ft. lbs of torque at the engine flywheel. Stock at the rear wheels, I dyno'd 280/522....but that is due to drivetrain power loss. With a Smarty downloader, im at 467/915 now at the rear wheels.


Now if you are talking about drag racing or sled pulling.........using 4wd will help you with traction, but it doesn't add power. And, if you need to pull a really super heavy load in a slow moving situation you can put the 4wd trucks into 4 low and multiply your power with lower gearing.

 

I should add, you'd see more results as far as drag racing in 4W, due to less chance of your rear wheels breaking loose. Straight line it's more efficient power wise in 4W, in my opinion.

i have stock 243hp/503tq
with smarty i have 361hp/740tq

buth i think the tq are not right is higher then 740.

That torque number sounds about right for that amount of HP......
