My transfer pump wen out in January and I replaced it with the replacement from Geno's Garage:

Tonight I noticed it took a few second for it to started. I then noticed the humm from the lift pump was gone. This was the same thing that happened last time.

My question is should I replace it with another kit or go with a aftermarket like the FASS system?

I ditched the stock and put one down on the frame rail. I think it was a bd diesel kit. I put a bypass on it so if it craps out I can at least get to the next town.

 

that pump will never last. either get a tank mounted pump or mount a brushless pump on the frame, either way add the filtering by the pump or tank. gemos is suppose to be handling the new carter brushless

 

I have a Walbro 392 mounted on the frame rail. I've had it for over 70k mi without a hiccup. Glacier Diesel used to sell the entire kit but I 'm sure that Richard would hook you up with all of the fittings and buy the pump from Summit Racing.
