Fuel stains in driveway, not sure where it's coming from?

I run 1-2 quarts per month through my truck..............no leaks yet>>>>
I doubt it is a fuel formulation problem. From what I can tell most of the seals in the CP3 are o-ring types and lip seals. The formulation difference between winter and non-winter fuel isn't that much different that it would attack these types of seals. My truck has PS/MMO from the start and for 20k miles ,with several months of that winter blend , no problems. Now, after about 2 months of single digit and teen temps off and on, it has developed a leak. Not enough to drip on the parking area but enough to leave a wet spot on the front diff. That along with leaks showing up in climates where the winter blend is not that much different from summer blend leads me to believe there are other issues. The leak on mine has slowed down now the temps are back into the 30's and 40's. It is looking more and more like it is temp related.
DC is replacing this one, and due to some other weird issues I am trying to insist on a LP check to see if it is starting to go. FP gauge when I get it back to see if there is a pressure issue and see how it fares next winter.

If it doesn't stop the leak...........no harm done........would be worth trying in my opinion...............

Keeping my fingers crossed................Good Luck...........

Never heard of that one.
My truck is garage kept and rarely driven during the winter(6900 miles on it) but my pump is leaking while sitting in my garage,It has winterblend fuel in it and shortly after is when my leak developed,btw-tranny fluid is not a great idea
"Keep doing that and CP3 leaks will be the least of your problems. ATF contains friction modifiers that do not promote lubrication. Running that thru a low clearance pump rather defeats the purpose not to mention what its doing to the injectors."
no 6 oh no,
Thanks for the tip.............I guess we will have to wait and see what happens..................
I have very little experience with the common rail system....................however I have owned diesel vehicles with a combined mileage of over 2 million miles and run ATF through all of them at every service with no problems...........................
All of our diesels with spin on fuel filters are filled with ATF EVERY time we change the filters.........................In our Peterbilt trucks with cat engines we excede the manufacters suggested life of our injectors by more than 300K miles and have trucks with over 1 million miles on the original pumps..........As for all of my Dodge trucks I usually sell them at about 250K miles...........
For those of you who have never been around large diesel engines you may not have heard of this before, but it seems to do a great job for us and we will continue, but should my 05 dodge have an injector/pump problem I WILL POST THAT IMMEDIATELY.......due to the tranny fluid......
NOTE: if you do this be sure to use the Mercron-Dextron III tranny fluid
anyway............just telling what works great for us in helping increase lubricity in todays world of sorry fuel.........................
