well got it fixed. Would have been mostly a snap if i didn't drop the dang bolt that holds the clamp down. grrrrrr

but in process of finding that little bugger, I found something else odd....a part jammed in a spot that it shouldn't be. from what i can tell, it looks like it was sticking up between the fan and the belts. I'm wondering if it took a hit when i had the belt shred a while ago.

Any idea what part THIS one is??? Seems like wires should be attached to the one end, and it looks like they were cut off.

Is that the wiring harness for the radiator fan?

Ouch, there goes your luck. That is the wiring harness for your electric fan clutch. Gonna need to get a whole new fan clutch now. The belt tore the crap out of it......

fantastic. time to start researching that.....lol. So does that mean that the fan is just running all the time? or that its not running at all?

It's not engaging at all. Do a search. Mucho info on it in old threads.

If the fan clutch is not damaged, it should still running in viscous mode, but NOT in electric mode.
Is it possible to repair the wiring harness? Else you need a new fan clutch that comes with the wiring harness.

replaced the fan cluch, now all is wondermous........except.......wait for it.......

P0243 now! LOL. I got my marching orders from another thread, just thought it was funny. I might be starting to get a tiny bit frustrated now. i guess when it rains, it pours. Just thought I'd share.
