Question fuel sending unit

I have a question and i hope someone can help. I have bought the air dog pf100 fuel system for my 2005 TCD. The installation instructions say you have to cut a hole in the fuel tank and put in thier pick up because in the 2005 you have a pick up pump in the tank. I have a sending unit from a 2004 truck and i wanted to know if that sending unit would fit in a 2005 fuel tank. If anyone has done this or knows i would appreciate your help.I have been told the tanks are the same but i see pick up units are differnt.

I had to cut a hole in my tank when I did the GDP kit, it needed its own fuel source. I know that the 04 don't have an intank lift pump and it should fit but if the air dog goes out there's no way of getting fuel to the engine. GDP kit leaves the stock lift pump just incase the GDP pump goes out you can reconnect the stock pump and be on the road again. I would suggest give Rich a call he's the expert. Oh yeah does the air dog give you a way to bypass the CEL when you don't use the stock lift pump.
