Fuel problem

Sorry guys, haven't been on in a while but i have a fuel problem the is kicking my butt. I have an 03 common rail, this is what i have done and this is what has happened so far. First, in stead of keeping it simple i had went and replaced the injector pump, did not fix the problem of course it always happens to me. Anyway, took the fass pump filters off and found plastic shaving inside from where the guy drilled in the top of the tank for the new pickup tub. Replaced filters and had the pump check out to make sure it still worked properly (150gph). Got fuel to the pump and then still would not start, did a injector block off on each and found that #4 injector was the problem, it was a cracked housing. Put one new injector in and it started, ran it till the smoke cleared drove it down around the block a time or two, pulled into napa and it shut off and would not start. Towed it home and did some checks, now i'm back to square one, no fuel to the injector pump. What's up!

Maybe the fass pump locked up or the fuse is blown. Check power and ground first does pump run?

Yes, you can hear the pump working just like before. I will check fuses and grounds.

First off, i'm not getting no fuel to the pump. The FASS pump is working but no fuel and the filler cap makes no difference. Sorry! Anyone else? Also have 1/2 tank fuel. Checking for codes now.

Is there fuel in the tank? a common issue with guys installing the new pick up tubes (draw straw) is laying the tank on the floor then cutting the draw straw to fit.

These tanks hang down quite a bit in the center when they are in the truck with fuel in them and this has been known to cause 1/4 tank issues where you run out but the sender says you have fuel.

Pour 5 gallons of fuel in it before you spend any more money.....

I had a small label once drive me nuts. Label on draw straw wasn't removed when installed. The label would block the draw straw and cut off fuel flow. Check the tank for anything blocking the pickup.
