I change my stock cannister fuel filter ever 5K using the Baldwin 5nm, then I change my GDP 2nm fuel filter every 10K. When we go to summer fuel, I will change the Baldwin after about a month of summer fuel regardless of mileage. There always seems to be idle issues, etc being reported at switchover time, so just in case the first summer stuff has problems with the mix or whatever, I change the filter. Filters are cheap insurance, would take a ton of them, to equal the price of one injector.

I change my fuel filter every 15k, but I also drain the fuel filter every 3K as recommended in the owners' manual. I drain the fuel filter in clean, dry glass jar and then examine for water or debris. If I find anything (which is rare) I go ahead and change the filter.

Changed mine twice in 36,000km's with whatever the dealership uses. I can't speak of any related problems YET.

I do mine at every oil change - 7500 miles. I also run a 2-mic GDP setup that I change every 25,000 miles. The fuel system on these trucks worries me a bit so I do my best to keep it clean. It's worth spending an extra $20 a year to save on potentially a multi-thousand dollar repair.

Thanks guys for backing me up on the 5 micron or less from Bosch. I cannot remember where I read it but that Chrysler was compromising with them on 7 Microns..

Baldwin PF7977 is the best filter for the OEM filter housing, period.... It also holds 10gr more dirt than the OEM filter...

I run the baldwin and change it every 10K..

And thats only recently, it was a 10 micron filter when it came out.... Now they are down to 7 microns...

The only 2 filters I have found that meet OEM specs are the OEM and the baldwin (actually exceeds them)

Lower micron filters are better. Smaller the micron number the better in filtering particles.

Ya, I need to find out who sells these in my area too. There's probably a few of us out here wondering the same thing.
