If you have been doing your part in keeping the filter drained, there should be no water in the bottle of fuel. Thus you have the perfect amount of fuel to refill the filter housing with.
DO NOT DO THIS!!!!!

that is an extremely easy way to allow contaminates [you think that drain hose that is exposed to the elements is clean???] to get into the clean side of the fuel sub system... we have an electric lift pump. use it to prime the system... pour the drained fuel back into the tank...

You may do this, but I would never. Let the LP do it's job with fresh fuel. You could easily get unfiltered fuel into the HPCR system by doing this by trying to save a few ounces of fuel.
