Here is what 04 PowerTrain Diag manual said:

Symptom:
P2769-TRANSMISSION TCC CONTROL CIRCUIT LOW

When Monitored and Set Condition:
P2769-TRANSMISSION TCC CONTROL CIRCUIT LOW

When Monitored: Continuously with the ignition on.
Set Condition: This DTC will set if the voltage detected by the ECM for the Torque
Converter Clutch Solenoid Control circuit is different than the expected voltage. Note: To
clear this DTC it is necessary to drive the vehicle at a sustained speed which would allow
the TCC and/or Overdrive Clutch to operate

POSSIBLE CAUSES
TRANSMISSION CONTROL RELAY DTCS PRESENT
GENERATOR SOURCE CIRCUIT OPEN
TRANSMISSION CONTROL RELAY OUTPUT CIRCUIT OPEN
TRANSMISSION CONTROL RELAY OUTPUT CIRCUIT SHORT TO GROUND
TCC SOLENOID CONTROL CIRCUIT SHORT TO GROUND
TCC SOLENOID CONTROL CIRCUIT SHORT TO OTHER CIRCUITS
TRANSMISSION CONTROL RELAY - POOR CONTACTS
TORQUE CONVERTER CLUTCH SOLENOID
ENGINE CONTROL MODULE
INTERMITTENT WIRING AND CONNECTORS

I agree. I did do the relay wire tapping without the 33 ohm resistor and upon bogging the truck down to a crawl with the TC switch, turned on, I also got a P2769 code.

I then put the relay back to normal (no tapping) and placed a 33 ohm resistor inline from the switch to ground and have not gotten a code yet. I even I kill the motor one time sitting still in drive and hit the switch. So no codes as of yet.
