Fuel Filter

Going to replace the fuel filter in my truck, wanted to know where you recommended I purchase the filter from. Will a filter from Checker or NAPA be suitable, or do you recommend going through the dealership for an item such as this? What's an average cost?

Thank you.

Before I started buying the 4/2/1 kits from Geno's Garage I always bought my fuel filters from NAPA. They are reboxed Fleetguard filters. Look closely at them and you will see it says Fleetguard molded in the rubber. Appx. $14.00 at NAPA for the same thing the dealer charges appx. $45.00. I made the mistake of purchasing my first fuel filter from the dealer.

You can also go straight to a Cummins dealer. Part #FS19579 cost $13.00 + tax.

Looked at the Purolator at Pep Boys today. It's a Fleetgaurd Stratapore for the low price of $24.00.
