Fuel Additives..... TCW-3 Ashless

Hey guys, besides the Power Service, Howes, Meaner Kleener, Stanadyne, ect.... Is there anyone else running TCW-3 Ashless 2 stroke oil? I have been running it for a little over a year or so. It seems I never hear of anyone else doing this. Is there any ill side effects that I may not know about?
Thanks

Jason

Well, I just did a search and found that a lot of people are adding it. So, guess I answered my own question. Thanks

I run about a 50/50 mix of tcw3 and power service... I like it. Its certainly quieter. I've ran about 2 tanks with it and think I'll continue.

I have been running it for years now. Before that non-detergent 30w motor oil. Every other tank I mix it with some Power Service Diesel Klean.

I run 16oz. of Super Tech TC-W3 ashless from Wal-Mart and love it. Always know when I am not running it...truck sounds worse. I use it almost every fillup and use a can of Seafoam every 6 fillups.

Great. Thats been about what I run. I have never missed a fill up since I bought the truck new in 06 on adding Power service or Stanadyne, but like I said, for a little over a year I've been running the Super Tech. About 2 quarts super tech and half bottle of power service per tank. Motor seems to really like the super tech as well. I use the Meaner Kleener about every 5,000 miles. I don't really notice anything from the Meaner Kleener, but I like the idea it was rated Superior by Cummins. LOL Thanks Guys

Here's the MSDS on Seafoam.
http://www.seafoamsales.com/pdf/MSDS_SFTT_US.pdf

Products containing alcohol isn't recommend due to it's moisture carrying capability.

I figured that with my AD150 having a water seperator built in...that it was cool. It works SSSSOOOOO well!!!! Smoothes out any rough idle!!!

I have heard Seafoam really is good for all trucks including 2nd gens but the 3rd gens I was heavily advised NOT to use it. Also, the 3rd gen injectors come with a coating on the tips. Alcohol strips that and can lead to failures.

Wow! Did you say two quarts of 2-stroke oil and 16oz of PS? I really don't know much about this, but have to say I'm surprised and would be afraid to do it. I simply use the recommended dose of Howes Meaner Power Cleaner and that's it. Am I missing somthing here? Tell me more........

I was a little suprised at those amounts. I ran PS for a long time, but then I started getting a little white smoke on cold starts. I added 10ozs SuperTech and it went away. I am now running 8 to 10ozs every fill. I have not really noticed any mileage gains, but it does sound nice and quiet.

I run 16oz of super tech per fill up.Been doing it for over a year now. When I sent my pump in to Floor It to be modded John said he had a pump come in with 60k miles on it that had been on a truck using super tech since new and it looked great as far as internal wear goes.I took this as it looked better than a pump that had not had any additives ran through it.My truck runs smoother and has not had the occassional rough idle/white smoke syndrone since using it.
