Front wheel bearings....my turn!!!!
Well now I have the pleasure of spending money on front wheel bearings. My left wheel locked up in the middle of Sonic Drive in at lunch hour today. After mashing the the go peddle very hard all kinds of havoc broke loose and the truck moved on out of the way. After a short ride on a roll back wrecker to my trusted chassis shop I recieved the bad news. Both front wheel bearings, upper and lower ball joints, 1 u-joint, 1 tie rod end, 1 drag link and $1800. Truck will be ready tommorrow P.M. What a lunch hour! I've just changed one u-joint and rebuilt the front driveshaft, I guess now I'll be good to go for a while now. Just rolled over 188,000 miles. Life goes on.
Raymond,
Sorry to hear about your bad news. That's alot of money to have to cough up on such short notice.
What year is your truck? How many miles on it?
When you get a chance you should go to the "usercp" in the upper left hand side of the page and fill out your signature....with basic truck info.
Good luck with the repair.
