i cant believe your not impressed with anti-seize, i think thats about the best thing since sliced bread or peanutbutter and jelly.
If you find something better, make sure you pm the stuff cause i want to try it on our farm and see..

I agree! I've used anti-seize for a very long time on all kinds of stuff including around boat hardware where it's critical with stainless against aluminum.

I also found on boats to make sure you don't use the kind with the silver appearance because it has aluminum dust as it's agent instead of copper. Big problem when ant-seize becomes seize in the presense of stainless steel.

Teflon pipe dope works very well in a lot of cases as does silicone. Not silicone grease, but caulk. Silicone grease is also magical in some cases because it is completely inert, does not evaporate or harden and it does not "glue" the pieces together.

The only thing I can figure on the Dodge is the relentless wind, dirt, sand and water spray on otherwise unprotected steel is just too much. The slip fit of the spindle into the knuckle seems to allow evaporation and easy corrosion. My stuff wasn't stuck as hard as the original unit bearings were, but they were stuck and they are a looser fit to begin with.
