Front Drive Shaft

I felt a vibration develop on the last month and finally found that it was my front drive shaft >>> actually the CV "Ball" in the front shaft... I pulled it out and apart and it is pretty much destroyed....
What is the least expensive way to get this fixed or replaced?
Is there a source for front drive shafts?? I checked Ebay and no luck there...

Check your local heavy duty truck shop. If they have a driveshaft repair, they can usually rebuilb the ball and socket. IIRC they call it a double cardan joint. If you tell them that they should know what you are talking about. NAPA has some kits available. The ball ( I believe ) is pressed onto the shaft. Not a major deal, but I usually let the driveshaft fellas do it!

not sure if its the same as my '02, but i bought a rebuild kit from napa and rebuilt it myself in about an hour including removal and intallation. Wasn't a big deal.

I just went and bought a whole new drive shaft, The price on the U-Joints alone for that CV joint are expensive, Was cheaper for me to replace the whole works.
