front divers side axel nut
put the wheel back on, leave off the hub cap. Put the biggest breaker bar you can get you hands on, on the nut, wedge it against the ground, get in the truck and put it in reverse and slowly back up, something is going to give, either your gonna breaker or your gonna break that nut loose.
This method seems to work best for me...

Yes, instead of reversing the vehicle, jack it up by the drivers side axle housing 6-9" off the ground using a floor jack. Then securely attach the socket and breaker bar to the axle nut and orient the breaker bar so that it will move counter clockwise as the truck is lowered. Take a concrete or solid wood block and place it under the end of the breaker bar so it cannot move down when the truck is lowered, then SLOWLY release the floorjack so that the weight of the truck lowers against the breaker bar…this will be much safer then reversing the truck and should give enough CONTROLLED leverage to loosen the axle nut.

Another trick I've read about is to use a jack under the breaker bar. Use it to crank the bar vs your own strength.
If I were doing this I'd be sure to guide/secure the bar so it doesn't slip off the jack or have the jack tip over.

It's all about having the correct tools. I use a 1" drive impact wrench. It will remove the nut or wreck the hub, but it will come off. If you haven't used one of these, get a helper to help you hold on to the wrench or it will rotate you.
