Front axle banging with wheel slip in 4x

I have totally rebuilt this front axle except the punkin. Splines on the diff end of axle shafts were slim so I just put in good used axle shafts and no change. I think maybe the side gears in the diff are worn like the axle shafts as there is still some slop between the axles and the front drive shaft. Ideas? new here so bear with me if i fu
