follow up on 47-48
HI, I'm kinda confused and startin to get mad, bought my truck use from dealer, specificly asked it trans was 47 or 48, they swore it was a 48. Been readin old post on subject and it would appear they lied(imagine that). My build date is 11/02. Is there anyway for me to be able to tell for sure which tranny i have before i blow a gasket down there?? Could sure use some input. thanks

I may be wrong (been known to do that), but I believe the first set of numbers is for your transfer case. I think I'm right about this one though...they didn't make the 48RE yet when your truck was built.
My truck was built in Dec 02. I have the exact same codes you have, in the same order as well, and I have the 47RE. Even said so on the window sticker when I bought it. Sorry man....
