i use 80-140 Mobil full synthetic in the diffs, if memory serves me correct, around 4 quarts front, 5 ish rear.
all i know for sure is if i open a new 5 gallon pail it uses less than half to do both.

Valvoline full synthetic ATF, type 4 recommenced for Chrysler vehicles. pan drop with filter it takes around 7 quarts

As far as differentials go, AAM calls for 75w/90 GL-5 differential fluid. The rear 11.5 will take 122 oz. or 3.8 quarts and the front 9.25 will take 76 oz. or 2.375 quarts. The purple stuff is expensive compared to the other parts store offerings such as Mobil 1 and Valvoline which are excellent choices. The gaskets on the front and rear differentials are reusable. Just be sure to wipe the mating surfaces off with a clean rag.

If your trans is the automatic and plan on performing a pan drop in order to replace the fluid, I recommend you use ATF+4 such as Valvoline. The most you will need is 7 quarts.

When torqueing the diff pan bolts back on only torque them to 25 ft/lbs or you may snapp them off.
