My best friends uncle pulled a VW diesel rabbit from a canal. Who knows how long it was in there. He messed with it for half a day and had a nice little car at the end of the day. I know, 25 years later there are alot more electronics on the motors, but that engine controller is pretty sealed up. If nothing is broken in the engine, that alone is worth close to $8K.

 

My thoughts exactly! If nothing is messed up in the engine it would be nice to have the extra motor laying around for a spare to build up. Also the wheels $500

Also if I break any of this stuff on my truck it;s just sitting there waiting for me. Just coming up with the 8,000 dollars when i really need to by a hybrid car because of gas prices!
