Flex plate/Torque converter

Ok sent flexplate and triple loc ATS torque converter to repair facility in Mo to install in truck after truck broke down week before Christmas -----
Am now having a transmission fluid leak from inspection plate--assuming it is the front input shaft seal-----The truck has 230,000 miles on it-----
How many people would have put this seal in while they had tranny pulled ? I suggested it to the repair facility but they failed to do it.

you will already be there. cheap insurance to do so. if for instance the seal is already weak but not leaking, remove and install the converter and that in itself pushes it over the edge then starts leaking then you will be doing it all over again.

With 230K on the same front seal, you can bet that the seal and front pump cover have "worked things out". When you changed to a new TC, the wear surface was different. I wouldn't worry about it, just have them drop the tranny and do it right! It didn't leak when you brought it there did it?

Nope has never leaked a drop---problem is had it done in Mo and truck is back in Michigan and needing to take another load to New England next week

I did call the repair facility in Mo this morning who did the work and ask if they had changed the front seal --- Marshfeild Towing in Marshfeild Mo.----Spoke to owner and he said the paperwork was at another location --said he would check it out and call me back.
haven't heard back from him yet.
Tranny is dropped and seal is leaking.
