Fleetguard air filter part number

Hi everyone,
Can someone please give me the part number for the new Fleetguard air
for my 5.9 truck. There was talk of a new, deeper ( like on a 6.7) filter. I thought I saw a part number listed on another site? Like always, any and all
help is appreciated.

Thanks,
Chad

I currently run the fleetguard Air filter in my truck with good UOA's. Is this one better?

Thanks for your help on this! I ordered six new ones from my local dealer
yesterday. They were $31 each, if I bought the half-dozen they were 25 each. Can't wait to get them. I used an Amsoil one this past year and I'm not impressed at all. Under no real load, my filter minder would get sucked down
part way. It may have filtered fine though!

Do a search for the Home Depot airbox mod. It'll open up your stock box. Here's the website for the materials: http.//grizzly.com/products/g3181

If there's one in your area, a Cummins dealer is much less expensive than Dodge.

The part number listed is a Crysler part number, and it doesn't cross referance on the Fleetguard/ Cummins site. Its only available through the Dodge garage. I installed it the other day, and it measued 4-1/2" tall. Compare that to the stock 2". It has two resin strips that run the full length of the filter that reinforce the pleats from collapse. And it's made in the USA! I hope it cures my filter-minder issues.

the 6.7 filter will not fit in the 5.9 filter box. I tried it. filter pleats are a 1/2" too big.

Keep in mind that the filter minder is not very accurate or reliable. That is why Dodge/Cummins no longer use them. The filter that you installled will filter very well for you while meeting your airflow requirements.

Even if there is not a Cummins dealer in your area, they will ship it to you!

Here is the flyer for the new air filter. It looks like a supersized Napa Gold/Wix 2846:
