Flash made a difference

I went Friday to have ,the high idle enabled on my 305/555 and also the TSB for the slow fuel gauge, well they updated the software,he said there was more updates, not sure what they did,but I got to say it is like driving a new truck, engine is much more responsive and sounds better also, the trans shift different, more sharp and firm,I am liking this,my mileage has been excellent so I dont know if it has changed, but so far I like what they did, totally different feel, the high idle works great.
I never had any problems,no smoke at startup or anything, but now it is better,I am glad I did it.I will find out if the mileage was affected.
Just wanted to let you all know..

Dave65, Look under the hood, probably on the fan cowl and there should be a listing of the TSBs performed.

Here is what it says on the work order...

Customer states truck takes long time to heat up-Checked to find a TSB 08-19-39-93 OLD # 15305153AF-Input New # 15305153AG.
Perform TSB UPDATE ECM AND PCM AND IDLE UP FEATURE: TOTAL UPDATE OF SYSTEM:

I will try to find out what it means.

I think all they did was enable the high idle. 15305153AG has been out for months, at least since September 2004.

I was there about an hour,I was in no hurry though, was chatting with the fellas.
Also what I got from the tech was that, yes the high idle was enabled, but he said the whole ECM/PCM was updated,I asked to what,he didnt remember, but will check and get back to me.
I can tell you it is so much different driving than before.
Went on a 150 mile trip today some city some highway, mileage is definatly improved, last tank I got about 17 with mixed driving and this tank same conditions 19.2.
I do have a surge now that I didnt have before, when I put if in gear it drops down to like 450 RPM but comes right back and is smooth..
