Hey guys, new to the diesel world and was just wondering what oil to use on my first oil change. Its an 06 2500. Ive read on here that i should not use synthetic, i was going to go with amsoil but i read somewhere on here to not use that until the mileage is a little higher. So any help would be great. I just need to know what kind of oil and filter to put in it. By the way the mileage is only 4k. I was just going to go ahead and change it to be safe, even though it is not required until 7500 miles. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Oh yea, by the way, if there is no cat converter does that void your warranty?

I changed to synthetic at 1500k miles but...........read the forums on your search there are thousands of opinions....

X2 on filling in the sig. wait till about 20k for sythetic. and i am using valvoline premium blue till then. and mopar or fleetgaurd filters too. hope it helps. and i like changing the oil pretty regular till shes all broke in good
