I have 6000 miles on my new 04.5 3500 4x4 quad cab. With any length of driving at all it keeps pulling the filter minder all the way down. Is anyone else having these kinds of problems ??? Filter is still pretty clean, all highway driving and no dusty conditions. I knew it was an issue on some of the early 03's but I haven't heard anything on 04.5 or 05's.

Those filter minders are not that reliable. Could be a bad one. Also check for obstruction at the air intake tube to the air filter box. I have heard of snow getting packed up in there.

Take it to the dealler and have them replace it. I had to have mine replaced becase I could put in a brand spanking new DC air filter and then pull out of the dealership and then go around the block and come back and it was pulled down. They replaced it and fixed the problem
