i have fault code P0700 comming up what and where do i start looking. i also have a problem with the engine light comming on intermitently for short and longer periods and then goes off again, i have an Edge chip in the system ( came with the truck) when i disconect it the light never comes on at all , so thinking faulty chip maybe?.

Fault code P-0700: Transmission Control System

Transmissions aren't cheap to have repaired, if the chip is the culprit, I would go straight to the source, contact the chip manufacturer and get this resolved.
