Expect to pay for 2500 4x4?

What would be a fair price to pay for a 2500 SLT,Crew Cab, 4x4, auto. CTD w/H.O. Is anyone aware of any tax penalties associated with owning a 3/4 ton truck? (non-commercial use)

jrtdog,

I am just as new as you, I just ordered a 3500 at almost inovice. The best place to look is www.edmunds.com they give what they call total Market Value, it seems to be fairly accurate. Good luck, also, where do you live, that will help with any taxes associated with your new rig.

Good Luck,

Lenny

...what he said. At or just over invoice isn't that hard.

Also look into any incentives that you may be eligible for. Ask your dealer, and do a search here.

Tax penalties? Aren't they all?

bulabula,

I agree...taxes stink but I like florida, a lot cheaper than living in Maryland. Also, 2500 bucks off 2500/3500 and 3000 off 1500 right now according to Dodge website.

Lenny

Where are you seeing $2500 for the 2500s? I'm only seeing $2000 and I tried several ZIPs.

I'm waiting for 0%/60 months myself....

Anyone seen that yet?

Kelly Blue Book (kbb.com) was almost exact to the dollar on mine. You should be able to get KBB's list price. The dealer will add advertising cost to their list price. You should be able to get them to drop that especially as slow as sales are. I was able to get them to drop it by standing firm on it, also after dropping their sales fees they threw in Slush mats, splash guards and rear full wheel liners. Don't forget the dealer gets 3% holdback on MSRP even if he sells it at his cost. So go figure on $40,000 MSRP the dealer would clear $1200 plus anything he can get about list price. Let the salesman know that you know about the holdback. Don't forget to have the sales manager sign (not your saleman) on your final deal. Also they can lock your price in and rebate in when you order and if Dodge increases the rebate that will be passed on to you but not any decreases. If you're firm enough they may not even make you give a deposit. Oh, by the way if use your credit card to make a deposit if you have to.

YNG -

OK, I give up. I tried MD zip codes and none showed 0% financing for 5 years. Hell, they showed less incentive than was available here in TX. What am I missing?

Re:Expect to pay for 2500 4x4?

I paid invoice for my 3500 dually plus about $113 for license and paper work, minus incentive at time. If you a farm bureau member (must be a member for at least 30 days, as I recall), which costs about $35 you will get another $500 off, and then if you or somone in the family has a disability Dodge pays for steps and other things under automobility program which is on their site.

ok....

We'll make this simple, go to www.dodge.com, move pointer over trucks, select Ram, about halfway down the page it says get an extra 500 cash back click on it, I endered 21770 as the zip code and you got 2500 cash back if you want a reg cab.
